We are Finalists for Six Awards!

We can’t quite believe it but the Women’s Work Lab are finalists in six different awards this year! Of course we are incredbly proud that our hard work is being recognised and like everything if this means we can support even more Mums back into employment then we are absolutely delighted.

Check out the awards here and we’ll be sure to let you know if we’re winners (but it’s the taking part that counts right?!)

Everywoman Awards - The Gaia Award

This one is awarded to the most inspirational and successful female founder of a social enterprise who has combined strong community benefit with a sustainable business model. Camilla and Rachel are one of just three finalists in the category and have been invited to London for the awards ceremony in December.

Social Enterprise UK - Team of the Year

This award acknowledges those teams in social enterprises which have demonstrated the strength, passion and resilience. Of course we are biased but our whole team does this every single day. The winner will be announced in December.

Great British Entrepreneur Awards - Entrepreneur for Good

Camilla and Rachel have been shortlisted from thousands as finalists in these awesome awards. Their category is specifically for social entrepreneurs.

ERSA Employability Awards - Team of the Year (Hardest Hit)

Think of these as the Oscars for the Employment Support sector. Competition is tough so we are especially proud to have been shortlisted in two different categories. This category is for frontline teams supporting individuals and communities in hardest hit sectors, including low-paid workers, young people NEET, diverse communities, experience of the justice system, women, people with learning disabilities and other disadvantaged groups. The winners will be announced at the 2022 ERSA Conference where we are thrilled to also be hosting a workshop. Again we are so hoping that our amazing team who go the extra mile every single day will be recognised!

ERSA Employability Awards - Community Partnership of the Year

Our second ERSA recognises our amazing community partnership with Bath College who are our funding partners for the programmes we deliver in Bristol, Bath and South Gloucestershire. This award is for organisations like us and Bath College who are working together to form partnerships that support local communities who are already furthest from the labour market.

BristolLive Business Awards - Your Local Business Hero

And finally we are especially looking forward to this one as it involves an event at Ashton Gate stadium in Bristol that the whole team is attending! We have been shortlisted for our work in the local community and the positive impact we are making.

We promise to update you if we are eventual winners. We are usually so busy ‘doing the doing’ that shouting about success doesn’t always come naturally to us. But as our Director of Learning Sally always tells our wonderful Mums; “It’s not bragging if it’s based on fact!”
