Refer a mum

We work with organisations from job centres to charities and children’s centres that wish to refer their clients to take part in the Women’s Work Lab programme. We are keen to hear from any partners who support mums that would be a good fit. All applicants need to fill in the online application form but it is fine to support mums in this process.

Our bespoke training is designed specifically to build confidence, unlock potential and ultimately support women back into work. Led by our Director of Learning, we also bring in specialist partners as required, such as Google and Smart Works. All training is school hours and term time only.

We are currently taking applications for our September 2023 programmes in Kingswood and Bridgwater, as well as January 2023 in central Bristol.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Mums

  • In receipt of some benefits

  • Basic IT Skills

  • Some work experience (it doesn't matter what in or how long ago)

  • A willingness to learn - e.g. evidence of volunteering or other training

  • If children are below school age childcare needs to be in place (DWP can help with this)

Meet the Women’s Work Lab

We would be delighted to attend meetings and events to share more about the work we are doing to support Mums in the South West. We are also keen to connect with organisations who may be able to support our mums in their journey into work through further training or job opportunities post graduation.
