Join our mums

We recognise the unique challenges of returning to work. We’ve created a supportive and dynamic environment for career development that builds your confidence and empowers you on your journey to professional success. Whatever that looks like for you.

Within our proven skills-based training programme, you can explore various opportunities and access valuable resources, including work placements, classroom-based training, personalised 1-2-1 career guidance and mentoring.

By joining our vibrant hive of ambitious and talented women, our community will support your progress along your individual career path; helping you to thrive in work and family life.

With dedication and us at your side, you can create a financially secure future where you and your family will flourish.

Our powerful programme is created for mothers by mothers with their own successful careers.

We don’t mind what qualifications you have either (although showing us you have an interest in developing yourself is great!). Experience of using computers for things like emailing and writing documents is an advantage but not essential.

If you have children younger than school age you are welcome to apply but will need to have childcare organised for both the training and the work placement (your work coach can help with this via the Flexible Support Fund).

Apply now

Applications for our January 2025 cohorts in Bristol, South Glos and Taunton are open plus our specialist schools programme (Bristol based). Our programmes are open to mums (19yrs+) who are looking to find meaningful work. You will need to be in receipt of a state benefit and live in one of the areas currently covered by our funders (Bristol, South Glos, B&NES & Somerset).  If you have any questions about eligibility, please contact Sarafina on sarafina@womensworklab.co.uk.

Please fill in the application in as much detail as possible and tell us why you would like to join the Women’s Work Lab. Remember what’s important to us is not what you’ve been doing up until now, but the fact that you are ambitious to make a change, open to new ideas and have a willingness to learn. We will be in touch shortly afterwards to let you know if you have been shortlisted for an informal telephone interview for a place.

If you would like to know more then contact our Programme Managers - Paige (for South Glos), Sophia (for Bristol) & Fern (for Somerset)
